Hunger in 3rd World: Human
rights behind Coercion
Today’s
world and its most prevailing issue is chronic shortage of food in majority of livelihood,
society and nation with each endorse controversial and problematic human
rights. With the large number of developing countries lacking to adjust the
food security, that lead to shortage of food .Beside 1st and 2nd
world ,the 3rd world population (i.e. countries of Africa, Latin
America , Oceania and Asia) in recent times has focused , world attention in
food security so as to solve the problem of hunger. Similarly concerning over
the alarming level of human rights violation.
World hunger relate to the
painful sensation of food in a world level ,aggregating to chronic under
nourishment of food . An irrational system of distribution with sufficiency and
near sufficiency has long coexisted widespread undernourishment in political
and economic level as well .Extreme long term poverty with the issues of famine
, has linked to persistent undernourishment. Globally 1 in 9 under developing
countries are under nourished .Hunger of the natural world i.e. human rights of
people are on a collision course .People’s hunger inflict harsh and often irreversible
damage on achieving sustainable goals of
nation and critical resource. If not checked, with proper measures it would put
serious risk the future that we wish for human and may so alter the living
world that it will be unable to sustain life in manner that we know .Fundamental
changes are urgent if we are to avoid the collision our present course will
bring about.
With
the data reveal, the most hungriest countries are
Sierria,Chad,Zambia,Madagascar,Yemen,Liberia,Sudan,Niger,Somalia.Years of
failed harvest and cyclical drought have plunged to hunger in these nation .Sudan
higher decades of facing violence , conflict and displacement leading 3.5
million facing hunger .Poverty and food insecurity high in Liberia particularly
in rural areas . Zambia , climate change has severely impacted and 60% of
population lives in poverty. Somalia food security is under threat reasoning
seasons of poor rainfall and low river water levels .More than 3 million people
cannot meet daily requirements of food .Hunger in world has been on rise for
past decade and declining trend in proportion of undernourished people in
developing countries has been reversed over last few years . Even the
humanitarian assistance is still critical in the 3rd world nation. Asia
and pacific home to largest no of hungry people (642 million) while Sub Saharan
Africa has highest prevalence of hunger ,70% of all malnourished children in
world live in Asia with 500 million people suffering from hunger .Nepal ahead
of India in reducing Hunger by several notches and is nearing to moderate level
from serious level .Among 119 countries on Global hunger Index ,Nepal has
ranked 72nd ahead of Srinlanka(84th),Bangladesh(90th),India(97th),Pakistan(107th),Afghanistan(111th).
Hunger of 3rd world need to be balance addressing the human
rights in a sustainable manner .Sustainable development could only be achieved
,but only if irreversible result brought by hunger could be halted in time .Either
the next 30 years may be crucial .The fact speak themselves. Poverty ,job
instability, food shortage ,poor infrastructures ,climate change vast to
agricultural production are far higher now creating the chances of hunger
centralized mainly in third world population .We work longer hours so as to
address our basic needs ,but also we can no longer experience true happiness .We
are surrounded by signs of global environment decline leading to hunger. Fact,
we have apparently learned nothing from hunger crisis to overcome it .Entire
population of 3rd world majority is collapsing. Every hour we people
living here act that we have learned something from the coercing human rights
but the other minute we assume we can do nothing.
Even though we know that nothing on this
world can be safely sequestered for millennia, we continue to litter space .We
fight for hunger ,we fight for human rights, we typically try to partially
clean things up after fact, instead of opting for cheaper and healthier path of
adoption .Agricultural production decline at a higher rate with decreasing soil
quality that ensures the low supply of food to the whole nation .On the other
hand our land is a limited edition, but the population is being increasing dramatically.
Soil erosion, desertification, and deforestation are proceeding apace .We are
seeing already the 1st signs of human induced climate change doing
litter more than crossing our finger and
praying that dine prediction of sizzling temperature, floods, tropical disaster
and mass migrations inducing the reflection of hunger in today’s world and
great deal of study human rights are in vain.
Overpopulation
and Poverty are cursory remarks undertaken as a comprehensive coverage cycle of
hunger issue violating human right. Human population have always been in flux
for simple reasons that everyday some people die while others are born
.Throughout most of human existence , the no of birth was slightly higher than
no of death resulting world population grew at a slow rate. All things being
true , people are likely to generate inventions, more technological breakthrough
by demolishing the nature. But taken as a whole ,people are conscious that
world is overpopulated. So as a fact the world itself is finite, the
terrestrial and aquatic system is finite ,over population need more food than
they need previous. Agricultural land would eventually used up for housing and
fulfilling infrastructure. Higher population density is likely to exacerbate poverty.
With the process of deforestation continuing the disasters like drought , flood
, erosion , no rainfall , so the production will surely vanish .With this pace
of population growth , it feel difficult to supply the food for all. Need to
say the situation of arid and semi arid areas are even worse .In all these case
situation would be considerably improved by controlling population and
increasing production. World attention must primarily set to increasing
agriculture production with proper food supply in these hunger areas. We should
end hunger ensuring human rights and ending forms of malnutrition by attempting
to doubling agricultural productivity, and incomes of small scale food
producers and ensuring sustainable goals. Moreover the world , as we have faces
such frightening problems; desertification, depletion of resources and green
house effect provoking hunger at alarming rate. Thus large and rapidly growing
population need to make decisive contribution to all environmental problem and
in long run, efforts to save biosphere.
